All The Beds Are Made

Another rush of activity this past Sunday & Monday as we laid down another 8 bed tracks (drums & bass for you lay people) at Blue Frog Studios in White Rock with Victor Guidera manning mission control ably assisted by David Tallarico.

That now gives us 16 songs, by my reckoning, in the rotation before we decide on which ones make the final cut for the record.

This last batch were, unlike the previous bed track session, mostly songs we have not been performing live for the past couple years. We got some great performances on these: “Pins”, “Smokestack Gasoline”, “Motor Mechanic Blues”, “Hell Bent”, “Sun Is Falling”, “Au Contraire”, “Change My Ways” and “Colebrook Road”. That latter tune is much more than just a Surrey geography lesson, by the way.

Tomorrow morning we hit the road for a couple shows AND some down time in the West Kootenays. Looking forward to playing the historic Miner’s Hall in Rossland, BC on Friday night (July 18) and the Community Hall in Christina Lake on Saturday (July 19). Check out all our upcoming dates at the “Events” tab.
